This number may not match the number of checkouts for an item that may be gathered from the yearly checkout transaction data in the “YYYY all checkouts.txt” files.

fileofmarc.txt:

• • follows MARC standard format.
• • MARC records connect to item records via the catkey in 001 field - e.g. .001. |au389170
• • Note: Each MARC record has a catkey in the 001 field. Each item in fileofitems.txt has a catkey attaching it to a MARC record. Example from fileofitems.txt (catkey is in the second field): 2950034432896 |628660|18|20120828|3|.
• • Further information about working with MARC format can be found here: http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/Working_with_MARC.
